Flakka is finally outlawed! Flakka, which is sometimes also referred to as the Zombie Drug was outlawed together with other synthetic drugs through a legal notice.
Flakka is made from a compound called alpha-PVP, a chemical related to cathinone, which is found in bath salts. Flakka has many side effects, including behavioural and mood changes, twitching and movements of muscle, delirious thoughts, and severe paranoia.
Since their usage has risen in recent years, the newly introduced legal notices attempt to clamp down on the legal high phenomenon. The Government published a number of legal notices relating to the criminalisation of that which was previously known as legal-drugs.
Flakka is currently banned in some US States (New Mexico, Delaware, Florida, Oklahoma, and Virginia) and in the following countries; Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey, Norway, Czech Republic and now also in Malta.
Definitely a step in the right direction! Thank you.
