Euthanasia: The Next Step in Malta’s Civil Rights Journey
Our tiny rock has made tremendous strides in terms of civil rights in the last years. Mainly the introduction of many LGBTQ+ rights and also with the introduction of the femicide law more recently. This small island nation has become a beacon of hope for the LGBTQ+ community in the region, setting an example for other countries to follow. From enacting anti-discrimination laws to allowing same-sex couples to adopt children, Malta has taken significant steps towards creating a more inclusive and accepting society. We’re also finally starting to discuss women’s reproductive rights, although we are still very far away on that subject and I will not be discussing that in this blog.
